Escuché a mi madre Gioietta Ottolenghi una historia interesante sobre el orígen de nuestro apellido, que se lo contó la nonna Dina:
Los Ottolenghi's provenimos de Sefarad... Cerca de Toledo existe un pequeño pueblo llamado Otoleco (yo mismo estuve ahí). Cuando los Reyes Católicos expulsaron a nuestros antecesores de España, ellos adoptaron inicialmente el apellido del pueblo, es decir Otoleco, que posteriormente derivó en "Ottolenghi".
